The ghost And her son! Episode 4

The ghost And her son!

Episode 4

'...Holy Moses!' i exclaimed.

I was so shocked, as goose bumps immediately filled the whole of my body from head to toe. I sat there with popped eyes and with my mouth agape staring at the little boy.

'Guy, are you ok?' Akoji who noticed the look on my face and how uneasy I became queried, staring at me.

I was still staring at the little boy but as soon as I heard Akoji's voice I turned swiftly and looked at him while swallowing saliva.

'Mike, are you ok?' He queried again.

I finally summoned the courage to say something, my body started to tremble, and at the same time sweating profusely despite being under the A.C. But as soon as I opened my mouth to say something, the bedroom door opened and without finding out whoever it was, I flew over the couch and made my way out of the living room.

I heard Akoji screaming my name but, I forbade turning back. The only thing that resisted my exit from the compound was the locked gate. The security guy had already heard his boss screaming at the top of his voice, without knowing whatever was going on he had to lock the gate for security reasons. And as soon as he saw me racing towards the gate, he opened his arms so wide and suddenly grabbed me.

'Oga ooo! I don catch am!! Ole, I don catch am!!!' (Boss I've caught him, th!ef! I've caught him)' he screamed continuously.

Akoji was already jogging out, with his mom behind him.

'Are you ok? Caught who? Come on will you leave him alone?' he fumed at the security guy who let go of me immediately.

'Sorry sir, I think say na th!ef him be. (Sorry sir, I thought he was a th!ef) he said already on his knees.

'Your papa na th!ef' I raged with my trembling voice, opening my palms wide to cover his face.

'Guy what's wrong? You scared me. Why did you run out as soon as my mom opened the living room door like that?' Akoji queried.

'Is he ok?' his mom too questioned.

I looked at him, stunned.

'Was it your mom that opened the door ?'

'Yes now' he exclaimed, nodding his head sporadically at the same time.

'Where's your wife?' I queried, still trembling.

He sighed...

'I mean the mother of the boy' I added.

He turned locking stares with his mom, then turned back.

'Why?' he queried.

'I hope all is well with your friend?' his mom too queried.

'Well, his mom d!ed on the day of his delivery' he said.

Then the little boy stepped outside and started walking towards us.

'Temi bami! (I'm doomed)' I muttered, while my teeth started to collide with each other out of fear.

I looked behind the boy hoping to see his ghost mom behind him, I already calculated my next move, na to fly over the fence remain but he was walking towards us alone, then he paused.

'Andre come, come son' Akoji called.

Then my jaw dropped.

 'Andre?' I asked myself rhetorically.

'Please go and drop your friend in his house, I don't want trouble' his mom said with a hand holding her earlobe. To her, I was beginning to lose my senses.

'I thought his name was Damian?' I queried.

'Do you know my son?' Akoji questioned staring at me.

'His name was never Damian, his name is Andre' Akoji let out.

'Sure?' I questioned and at this point, his mom gave up on me.

'Akoji! Ok ooo' she exclaimed, then turned her back swiftly and walked back into the house.

'Of course. ' he replied me.

Still not convinced.

'Does he sell oranges? I mean hawk oranges? And does he have a twin?' I queried, but I became surprised when the little boy didn't call me or run to me.

'God forbid! Guy what's the meaning of all these now? The son of a rich boy like me hawk oranges? Heee !!!' he said with a smile, while clapping his hands three times.
'My son can never hawk oranges, and he doesn't have a twin. Now stop acting like someone who saw a ghost'

'Exactly my point. See...' I was about to say when there came a knock on the gate.

I turned swiftly towards the gate.

'Who be that?' the security guy questioned.

'Sarah' I heard.

Then the security guy opened the gate for one fair, sk!nny looking g!rl like that.

'Hey babes' Akoji said, stretching forth his arms for a hug.

Akoji introduced us to each other, Sarah was his girlfriend. But I must confess, despite me being in such state, I still had my eyes and senses intact.

Akoji doesn't have good eyes sha. The girl had no frontier and no bright future, $he stood there so flat like my primary school chalkboard. Well, I had to discharge myself, but found it so difficult to comprehend all I was told.

I got home that day and I narrated everything to Donatus, and how the little boy didn't even recognize me.

'Omo, that Akoji of a guy is not pure. If all you said is true then something is wrong somewhere. Or is the little boy a twin?' he said.

By Blessing-Enejo Abrahams Elleywrite's.

'You needed to have seen that Akoji's son. So identical with that little boy Damian. But what baffles me is, why am I the only one seeing the lady behind Damian? And, is Damian a twin?'

'My friend, you have a mission ahead of you. ' Donatus said laughing.

'How?' I queried with hands on my waist, staring at Donatus like a lost rooster.

' Yes now. You're the only one seeing her, that means there are some things she would want you to do for her, Perhaps talk to you or something' he said.

'Things she would want me to do for her? As in how? Am I Merlin the actor?'

'I would advise you to try and pause the next time you see her and her son, act like a man and ask her some few questions'

'Guy you well? Ask a ghost a few questions? Wait o, did you sm0ke that your thing again?' I queried with two fingers on my lips.

'Your papa' he said.

The following day, Donatus and I contributed some money so I could go get foodstuffs with it, while he left earlier for an interview. I walked past our landlords flat, staring at the door and beeming with smiles.

Passing through their flat always sent chills down my spine.
I wished my landlord's daughter could just open the door, if only wishes were horses. I kept turning back as I approached the gate, hoping to at least see her. As soon as I opened the gate I saw Donatus outside the gate, seated with Damian and peeling oranges, and there his mom was again, standing before them with gaze fixed.

'Uncle' Damian called.

I looked at him, and then passed out...
