AFRICAN DNA, HUMAN ORIGINS: You may have seen videos saying “African DNA is 7 million years old” or “European civilization is only 4,500 years old.” Let’s separate truth from exaggeration. The human lineage began in Africa. The earliest known human ancestors date back 6–7 million years ago, all found in Africa. This makes Africa the undisputed cradle of mankind. However, clarity matters. No modern African tribe — Xhosa, Zulu, Yoruba, or any other is millions of years old as a distinct group. Modern African identities formed thousands, not millions, of years ago.Africans carry the oldest and most diverse human DNA on Earth. Some African populations, especially in Southern Africa, preserve genetic lineages that split earlier than any other human population globally. That is not mythology. That is science.Modern Homo sapiens people like us today emerged in Africa about 300,000 years ago, long before complex civilizations appeared anywhere else. As for Europe: Humans lived there for tens of thousands of years, but organized civilizations with cities, writing, and states emerged much later around 4,000–5,000 years ago, often influenced by Africa and the Near East. Africa did not just contribute to civilization. Africa contributed to humanity itself. This is not about supremacy.but is a wake-up call to understand origins, respect truth, and reclaim erased knowledge. You cannot understand the world without understanding Africa.
